  • 75g sugar
  • 250g soft butter
  • 200g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 300g flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 4-5 apples (e.g., Boskop, Elstar)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 100g flour (for crumble topping)

  • 75g cold butter (for crumble topping)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 100ml milk

  1. Prepare the pudding by heating most of the milk and mixing the pudding powder with a little milk until smooth. Combine with hot milk and stir until thickened.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180°C and prepare a springform pan.
  3. Cream butter and sugar in a bowl; add eggs one at a time.

  5. Slice apples and toss them with lemon juice.
  6. Assemble by layering the cake batter, then pudding, followed by apple slices on top.
  7. Optionally prepare crumble topping by mixing flour, sugar, and cold butter until crumbly; sprinkle over apples.
  8. Bake for about 50-60 minutes until golden brown.
