  • 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cup elbow macaroni or small pasta shells, uncooked
  • 2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large deep skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef with diced onion and bell pepper for about 5-6 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Stir in butter until melted, then sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir for about 1 minute. Add tomato paste and cook for another minute.
  3. Pour in beef broth, chicken broth, half and half, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings. Bring to a boil.
  4. Stir in uncooked pasta until submerged; reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for 12-15 minutes until pasta is tender.
  5. Remove from heat; mix in shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
