  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2.5 cups chicken stock
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian)
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground sage
  • 2-3 drops Kitchen Bouquet (optional)


Instructions

  1. Mix dredging ingredients on a plate.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet; fry turkey bacon until crispy and set aside.
  3. Slice and pound chicken breasts to even thickness.
  4. Coat chicken with flour mixture.
  5. Fry chicken in hot oil until golden brown; set aside.
  6. Use reserved drippings to create a roux with butter and flour.
  7. Gradually whisk in chicken stock and seasonings; simmer until thickened.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet; simmer for additional flavor absorption.
  9. Serve garnished with crumbled turkey bacon.
