  • Cheese tortellini
  • Chicken breast
  • Heavy cream
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Garlic cloves
  • Fresh broccoli
  • Olive oil
  • Butter


Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente; reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Steam broccoli florets for 3-4 minutes until bright green; plunge into ice water to stop cooking and set aside.
  3. Season chicken cubes with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken until golden brown and cooked through (6-8 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Slowly whisk in heavy cream.
  5. Remove from heat and gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until smooth; season with salt and pepper. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water gradually.
  6. Return chicken to skillet along with cooked tortellini and steamed broccoli; gently toss to combine. Serve immediately with extra Parmesan if desired.
