  • 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon honey
  • 7 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1.75 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 tbsp green onions (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, ginger, and lime juice until well combined.
  2. Place shrimp in a resealable bag or bowl and pour the marinade over them. Ensure they are well coated and marinate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours).
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  4. Remove shrimp from the marinade (reserve excess marinade) and grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side until opaque and slightly charred.
  5. Brush reserved marinade over the shrimp while grilling for added flavor. Once cooked, garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
