  • 1 box devil's food or German chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs, divided
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, cake mix, and one egg until well mixed. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and the remaining egg until smooth. Stir in chopped pecans and shredded coconut.
  4. Pour the filling over the base layer and sprinkle with milk chocolate chips.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until set and golden brown around the edges.
  6. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
