Ingredients
- 800 g waxy potatoes
- 400 g chicken breast (or turkey/tofu)
- 1 head of broccoli (or green beans/asparagus)
- 80 g grated cheese (Cheddar/Gouda or vegan alternative)
- 150 g sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
- 200 ml vegetable broth
- 2 tablespoons oil (olive or other preferred oil)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (or arrowroot starch)
- 2 teaspoons sweet paprika
- 1 teaspoon hot paprika (or cayenne pepper)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (or 2 cloves fresh garlic)
- 1 teaspoon curry (or turmeric and cumin)

Instructions
- Peel and dice the potatoes into 2 cm pieces. Boil in lightly salted water for about 10 minutes, drain, and set aside.
- Slice the chicken breast into thin strips, season with paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic powder; let marinate briefly.
- In a large frying pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Add potatoes and fry until golden brown (about 15 minutes).
- In another pan, heat remaining oil and sauté the seasoned chicken for 1 minute. If using ham cubes, add them now and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Cut broccoli into florets; add it along with vegetable broth and sour cream to the chicken pan and simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
- Dissolve cornstarch in water; add to the pan until sauce thickens.
- Gently fold in potatoes, sprinkle cheese on top, melt over low heat before serving.
