Indulge in the delightful crunch of Crispy Oven-Fried Beef Chops, a perfect dish for any gathering or a cozy family dinner. This recipe not only delivers a satisfying crunch but also offers a burst of flavor from the carefully selected spices and cheese. By baking instead of frying, you achieve that irresistible crispy exterior while keeping the cooking process mess-free and healthier. These beef chops are versatile enough to pair beautifully with creamy mashed potatoes, vibrant steamed vegetables, or fresh salads. Ideal for meal prep, leftovers taste just as delicious, making them a fantastic option for lunch throughout the week.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 to 6 boneless beef chops
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Non-stick cooking spray
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Lawry’s seasoned salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F and prepare a wire rack on a baking sheet.
  2. Pat beef chops dry and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Set up three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with egg and milk mixture, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan and spices.
  4. Dredge each chop in flour, dip in egg wash, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place on the wire rack, spray tops with cooking spray, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown (145°F internal temperature).
  6. Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes for extra crispiness.
