  • 1 1/2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon freeze-dried strawberries (for glaze)


Instructions

  1. Process the freeze-dried strawberries until mostly powdered; reserve one tablespoon for glaze.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
  3. Mix in vanilla, milk, and strawberry powder until well combined.
  4. Flatten the dough into a disk and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  5. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/4 inch and cut into heart shapes.
  6. Place on parchment-lined baking sheets and bake at 325°F for 13–15 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  7. Cool completely before glazing with a mixture of powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and finely processed strawberries.
