  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and garlic powder. Stir in olive oil and warm water until a soft dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  2. Let the dough rest covered with a damp cloth for 10 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions. Roll each into an 8-inch rope and twist together before placing on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle cheese, Italian seasoning, and black pepper on top.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
